Generative AI is a type of artificial intelligence that can create new content, whether it鈥檚 writing a story, composing music, or generating images. Gen AI tools create new content based on questions or requests that聽you ask it -- using what is called a 鈥減rompt.鈥�
Getting Started with Generative AI
Examples of things you can do with generative AI:
- Summarize class or research notes
- Edit written work - improve grammar, sentence construction and other language elements
- Generate practice questions for exam preparation on a specific topic
- Translate text into different languages
- Provide stimulus or generate ideas to extend and develop
- Suggest ways to organize your time or project tasks

About Data Protection
Data Protection for Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Google NotebookLM is available for current students, faculty (full time and part time), and staff (computer users) to engage and experiment with AI in a protected environment as instructed below. NOTE: Students under 18 years old will not have access to these tools with Data Protection due to restrictions by the vendors.
