As a communicative, extroverted, and attentive individual, I found it easy to dedicate my studies to Nursing. Growing up in a modest suburb of Rio de Janeiro, my family has always supported my aspiration to become a nurse, and later, to pursue a master's and doctoral degree in Nursing. Through dedication and perseverance, I have become a professor and researcher in the Graduate Program at the Anna Nery School of Nursing, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. This opportunity allows me to empower others to transform their own stories and contribute to Brazil's scientific, economic, and social development.听
Guided by these personal philosophies, I believe that the advancement of disciplinary knowledge cannot be measured solely in isolation; it must be translated into clinical, educational andmanagerial practices for nurses. This shared goal unites all those who strive for the well-being and potential growth of humanity.听
As an enthusiast in the field, I have focused my research on standardized languages and nursing theories related to Unitary nursing Science . My commitment in this area led me to pursue a postdoctoral Scholars appointment in the Marjory Gordon Scholars Program at the Connell School of Nursing, Boston College鈥 an "open-ended" dream come true. As a Gordon Scholar I will focus on standardized nursing language and nursing theory, working with a team of nurse scientist on the revision of the FHPAST tool and participation in NANDA committee work, e.g. Taxonomy development. I will be in the USA until early November.听
The experiences I have gained so far inspire me to pursue international partnerships aimed at expanding and advancing nursing science on a global scale. Through these opportunities, I hope to share knowledge, explore cultural differences, and pave the way for innovative research in nursing and health.
