Joseph (Joe) Du Pont is the Associate Vice President of Career Services & Integrated Learning at Boston College and a member of the Division of Student Affairs leadership team. In his role, he provides strategic direction, builds partnerships, and strengthens on and off campus initiatives to realize the Career Center鈥檚 mission of empowering all Boston College students to incorporate their career goals into a broader sense of living a life of meaning and impact.听 Joe has over 20 years of experience in career services, previously working as Dean of the Hiatt Career Center at Brandeis University as well as Vice President of Career Services for Teach for America. Before entering the fields of student affairs and career services, Joe worked as a corporate attorney in New York City.听

Joe is the author of several articles and publications and has presented in many forums about organizational change, assessment, and leadership within career services. Joe currently co-chairs the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Future of Career Services Leadership Task Force and previously served on its board of directors. In 2016, Joe co-founded the Student Career Development Knowledge Committee of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA).听 He is also on the organizing committee for the Global Career Services Summit which will take place in Singapore in March 2020. The summit provides a forum annually to build a global network of career services colleagues to share observations and insights about the ever-changing world of career services.听

Joe holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, an M.A. in Higher Education Administration from New York University, and an A.B. in History and Religion from Duke University.听

Within his current role, Joe also meets with current students and alumni for appointments, specifically those interested in entering the legal profession. He also is active within the community; you can often find him at a student event or cheering on an Eagles sports team. Outside of work, Joe enjoys cooking for family and friends, reading legal crime thrillers, and any activity that brings him closer to the water.

Joe once traveled 300 miles out of his way to ride the roller coasters at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.听

Rachel leads our very talented team in creating and implementing a student-centered strategy to meet the ever-evolving and varied career development needs of Boston College students. One of her favorite parts of this work is the broad range of responsibilities, including supervision, project management, strategic planning, data analysis, and so much more. But what truly keeps her excited about her work is the opportunity to work with and learn from our well-rounded and diverse students and the inspiration that comes from watching a student discover what brings them joy, what they are good at, and what type of person they want to become.

Prior to 情色空间, Rachel听worked in career services at MIT and in academic advising at Mass. College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (now MCPHS University). She also had short stints in public relations and marketing immediately after college. Rachel听received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and her M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Boston College.

As a mom of three, she doesn't have much time to pursue outside interests at this stage of her life (unless you'd call arranging carpools an interest!), but she does enjoy reading, doing puzzles (jigsaw, crossword, etc.) and going on (short) runs with friends.

Rachel worked as an account coordinator at a public relations firm in New York City.

It is my goal to empower and support you as you explore your options and take ownership of your career development decisions. With a bias toward action, I'll help you determine your next steps at each stage to keep moving forward.

Julie leads the Employer Engagement team within 情色空间鈥檚 Career Center. The team connects employers with 情色空间 students seeking rewarding internship and job opportunities. Julie enjoys building relationships with employers and alumni鈥攁nd helping bring them to 情色空间鈥檚 campus to meet with talented and engaged students.

Prior to joining the Career Center, Julie oversaw donor relations programs in the development offices of Brigham and Women鈥檚 Hospital, 情色空间, and Georgetown, helping attract, accept, and manage philanthropic gifts for scholarships and medical research. Her favorite pastimes include watching her husband coach and her kids play sports, reading, and chilling out with her pets.

Her responsibilities include providing individual and group career coaching to students and recent alumni, organizing career development-related programming for the cluster, and building relationships with campus partners and employers. She has also recently taken on the responsibility of managing the very talented operations team!

Before joining the Career Center team, Kayla was as an academic and career advisor in the Department of Integrative Biology at the University of Wisconsin鈥揗adison. Kayla graduated from the University of Massachusetts鈥揂mherst with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, and she also has a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts鈥揕owell. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the beach, exploring new places, and cuddling with her calico cat named Mira.

In addition to coaching students individually, she visits many classrooms to lead reflective workshops. Julianne worked in media at the Boston Red Sox and WGBH before transitioning to higher education. Prior to joining听the Career Center team, she held student-facing roles at UC Davis and Brandeis University. Julianne graduated from Boston College with bachelor's degrees in communication and film studies and holds two master's degrees, one in women & gender studies from Brandeis University and another in sociology from UC Davis. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and beagle.

Philip oversees the Consulting, Finance, and Business career cluster. His responsibilities include providing individual and group career coaching to students and recent alumni, organizing career development related programming for the cluster, and building relationships with campus partners and employers. Before joining the Career Center team,听Philip worked at Goldman Sachs in senior roles spanning divisional CFO, COO and Diversity and Talent Development positions. Philip graduated from Colby College with a B.A. in Economics and he also has a Master of Business Administration from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Outside of work, Philip enjoys exploring the coast and islands of Maine.

A few years after starting his post college career in the Boston area, he relocated to Europe for three years working and living in Geneva, Switzerland and London, England.

My approach to coaching focuses on assisting individuals in determining their short and long-term goals, then providing guidance in making choices that support these goals as well as personal and professional needs. My goal is to help individuals identify and take ownership of their needs, which will be impactful on their success and happiness.

Kamryn oversees the government, law, and public policy cluster and provides individual and group career coaching to students in this cluster. Her responsibilities also include organizing career development-related programming for the cluster and building relationships with campus partners and employers.

Before joining the Career Center team, Kamryn worked as an academic researcher and writer at Brandeis University, and subsequently worked as the Assistant Director of Admission at Suffolk Law. Kamryn graduated from the University of San Diego with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, and is in process of finalizing a Masters degree in Politics at Brandeis. Outside of work, Kamryn enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family and dog Birdie.

Peter provides career coaching and advice for students interested in the Education, Nonprofit and Social Impact (ENS) careers. He also organizes a variety of ENS events, such as alumni panels and networking nights, career treks to employers, and hands-on resume, cover letter and interview workshops 鈥� to help students explore their interests, prepare for the job, internship and graduate school application process, and connect with great opportunities. Before starting at 情色空间, Peter worked as a research assistant at the Rhode Island state prison and as a case manager in a group home and, for three years, ran his own window cleaning business. Peter earned his B.A. in history from Brown University and his M.Ed. in higher education administration from Boston College. Outside of work, Peter loves spending time outdoors biking and hiking with his family, and he enjoys long train rides with his train-obsessed son.

Peter loves traveling in the US. He worked in Yellowstone National Park for a summer and lived and skied in Sun Valley, Idaho for two years.

Tara serves as an Exploration Career Coach, supporting students who are undecided about their future academic or professional goals. She encourages students to reflect on their unique interests, strengths, skills and values as they explore a variety of industries and occupations.

Tara joined the Boston College Career Center team in 2021. Prior to arriving at Boston College, Tara taught Externship and Career Readiness courses at Roxbury Community College. Tara also worked for twelve years at the Boston Private Industry Council where she managed career exploration and internship programs for Boston Public School students. She holds a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Political Science from Northeastern University and a Master鈥檚 in Public Administration from Suffolk University.

In her free time, Tara enjoys traveling, cooking and spending time with her family.

Jonathan oversees the Healthcare, Nursing, and Counseling career cluster. His responsibilities include individual and group job readiness career coaching to students and alumni, organizing career development related workshops and programming for Healthcare, Nursing, and Counseling interested students, and building relationships with campus partners and employers.听 Before joining the Career Center team, Jonathan spent 15 陆 years at a Boston-area non-profit. During his tenure, Jonathan helped Boston Public High School students secure jobs and internships across the city, including at many major healthcare employers and community health centers.听In addition, Jonathan serves as the Group Fitness Manager and Lead Boxing Trainer at Lynx Fitness Club, located at Boston Park Plaza Hotel.听 Jonathan graduated from Bowdoin College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Legal Studies and a minor in Education and holds a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Northeastern University.听 Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife, their two boys, and their Boston Terrier, Sonny.

Howard serves as the Assistant Director of Career Education, focusing on working with students that are beginning their career exploration journey. He also oversees the Peer Career Coach student team.

Before joining the career center Howard, spent over 3 years as a Resident Director in the Office of Residential Life at Boston College, working primarily in first-year communities. Howard received his Master's in Higher Education and Leadership from the University of Texas at Austin and his bachelor's in Political Science and Communications from Auburn University. A native Texan, Howard enjoys spending his free time exploring New England and hiking with his partner, and brushing up his Graphic Design skills in Photoshop.听

Taryn focuses on connecting employers with talented Boston College students to hire as the future of their workforce.听 Prior to joining the Career Center team, Taryn worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance for almost five years, starting as a recruiting coordinator, then recruiting representative, and finally a Tech Early Talent Recruiter for her final 2.5 years there.听 Before that, she worked at the Boston Private Industry Council for about five years, providing professional development and internship opportunities across all industries for Boston Public High School students.听 Taryn is a proud Boston College alumna, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Applied Psychology.

In her free time, Taryn enjoys reading (and will always take a great book recommendation!), playing strategic board games, watching lots of different shows and movies, and running around with her partner, daughter and dog.

The most beautiful place Taryn has ever been is the Amalfi Coast when she was studying abroad in Florence, Italy during the spring semester of her junior year at 情色空间.

Diane engages employers to help them to recruit Boston College students. Prior to starting her career in Higher Education, Diane worked in a variety of roles from leading a post grad service program, to organizing large corporate volunteer events, to supporting families in a pediatric health clinic. She鈥檚 energized by the Career Center mission of empowering all students to pursue meaningful careers and lives.

Outside of work, Diane likes visiting museums, trying out different recipes, and is always up for a new icebreaker.

Fun Fact:听Diane is in a book club that has been reading together since 2017.

Carole works with the employer engagement team and is responsible for scheduling employer events and on-campus interviews. Before joining the Career Center, Carole worked for the Police Department in Framingham, MA. She previously was a pre-school teacher and enjoyed working with three and four year old children. Carole graduated from Boston College with an A.B. in Theology. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, reading, being at the ocean, and spending time with her three grandchildren. Carole has worked at the Career Center for more than 25 years.

Joanne has more than 30 years of experience working in career services. Joanne is a member of the employer engagement team in the Career Center and manages the on-campus recruiting program.听 She maintains relationships with hundreds of employers who conduct on-campus interviews, information sessions and other recruiting events to help them engage with 情色空间 talent.听 Before joining the 情色空间 Career Center, Joanne held several positions in the Hiatt Career Center at Brandeis University.听 Joanne graduated from the Wood College of Advancing Studies with a degree in corporate systems. Joanne is proud to have worked with so many talented 情色空间 students and valued employer partners during her 20+ years at the Heights.听Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog.听 She also enjoys cooking, gardening, and being outdoors (when the weather is not too cold).

Clare is the Administrative & Programs Specialist and is a member of the operations team. Before joining the Career Center, Clare worked for the Center for Mindfulness and Compassion as a Research Coordinator. She graduated from Boston College with a major in Clinical Psychology and minor in Medical Humanities. Her hobbies include watching movies, reading, and going to yoga.
