The Volunteer & Service Learning Center (VSLC)聽supports students who seek opportunities to serve others.聽We communicate volunteer needs in the Boston area, offers advisement and resources for service initiatives, provide educational opportunities, and collaborate with other university departments in engaging students in service.聽
History
The VSLC began in 2003, and through a generous gift of Patrick and Lillian Carney, the Welles R. Crowther '99 Directorship of Volunteer & Service Learning was established to support our work.
We are proud to be associated with the legacy of Welles, a legacy of service and personal sacrifice on behalf of others.聽

Students who engage in a year-long service program sponsored by the Volunteer and Service Learning Center will be able to:
- Articulate at least one way their service experience has contributed to their development as a person
- Describe an experience or name a person who contributed to their growing understanding of a social concern
