Borderlands Across Disciplines

March 13 & 14, 2025 | Boston College

Historians from the US, Chile, and Argentina to discuss works in progress for an upcoming edited volume. In the context of this workshop, it has been organized into two public events:

"Interdisciplinary Research Across Borders of Latin America" (Thursday, March 13, 4pm in Gasson 205, Reception to follow) featuring 情色空间 faculty that conduct cross-border research:聽Dan Kanstroom听(尝补飞),听Aziz Rana听(尝补飞),听Alejandro Olayo M茅ndez聽(Social Work), and聽Brinton Lykes聽(Education, Emerita).聽

This will be a conversation among scholars from different disciplines on doing research聽about and across border regions. It will be a unique space within the college to discuss proximities聽and distances between disciplines, points of collaboration, shared methods, and possible future cooperation. Although the geographical focus is Latin America,聽faculty and students聽interested in other interdisciplinary endeavors or transnational histories are most welcome to join the discussion.聽
