Over the course of his wide-ranging career, Dr. Samuel L. Bradley, Jr.—who joined the ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äSSW faculty this October as assistant professor of macro practice—has worked as an administrator, a musician, and a higher education fundraiser. He comes to ÇéÉ«¿Õ¼äSSW from the College of Music and Media at Loyola University New Orleans, where he helped facilitate philanthropic gifts that ranged between $25,000 and $1,000,000. Bradley is also passionately invested in community activism: in New Orleans, he chaired the LGBTQ+ human rights organization Forum for Equality, served on the board of the Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MaCCNO), and collaborated with the Obama administration to create and nurture interfaith service projects. His current research and practice focus on diversity and inclusion, equity, and social justice. Bradley is interested in how design thinking can be used to promote innovation in higher education and in how higher education programming can support outcomes for marginalized and minoritized communities. In addition to his work with students in the macro program, he will focus on creating a new certificate program in equity, justice, and inclusion leadership. Bradley holds a Fellow for Life standing with the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. He earned a DSW and an MSW from Tulane University.
