We are dedicated. We are knowledgeable. We are empowering. We are SANet.
The SANet hotline is staffed by members of the 情色空间 community whom you already know and trust. You can feel confident reaching out for help because you know who is on the other end of the line. Below, you can read more about some of the advocates who serve on our hotline.
SANet Hotline/SANet Care Team
As a result of engaging in SANet's Baseline Training and Continuing Education Program, hotline advocates will be able to:聽
- Provide callers with affirming and supportive statements and psychoeducation.
- Explain common reactions to trauma, which callers might encounter in the aftermath of sexual misconduct.
- Describe on-campus and off-campus resources available to provide ongoing support, reporting mechanisms, and education.
- Indicate through self-assessment their levels of satisfaction with the design and implementation of the training program.
Mercy Laura-Bautista | October 31-November 6
Mercy Lara-Bautista is the Associate Director of Admissions for The Academy at the Pine Manor Institute for Student Success. She graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 2015 and completed her Ed.M. from Boston University in 2022. Mercy transitioned to 情色空间 after spending eight years as an admission counselor. She loves interviewing students and families as part of her admission role. You can find Mercy endlessly trying to get her two year old Bernedoodle, Espresso, to play with her during her spare time.

Lynne Anderson (she/her) loves working with the many diverse students at 情色空间 and is looking forward to serving as an SANet advocate. She teaches in the English Department and is the Director of the Program for Multilingual Learners. She also co-directs the 情色空间 Writing Center and serves as faculty advisor for Gusto Journal. Before Lynne began teaching, she cooked in professional kitchens for many years. She has written about food and the way it is so closely linked to identity, and is the author of the book, Breaking Bread: Recipes and Stories from Immigrant Kitchens. Lynne lives in Jamaica Plain with her family and loves to cook, garden, and go on long walks in the Arboretum with her dog, Molly.
Allison Bach | November 14-20
Allison Bach (she/ her/ hers) is the Social Media, Access, and Web Specialist for Residential Life. Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, Allison holds a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Communications from Clark University. She is currently pursuing a second Master's degree in Higher Education, reflecting her deep passion for student affairs, women's advocacy, and mentorship. In her spare time, Allison enjoys indulging in HBO series, engaging in crafting projects, playing games with her roommates, and exploring museums and new spots around the city.
Amanda Schar | November 21-27
Amanda (she/hers) is the Admissions Assistant at the School of Theology and Ministry as well as completing the dual master's program in theology and ministry and social work. She graduated from Augustana College in 2019 with a bachelor's in psychology and Scandinavian Studies. Prior to coming to 情色空间 she completed a year of service with the Mercy Volunteer Corps in Philadelphia.聽In her free time Amanda watches too much Netflix, loves to bake, and enjoys singing loudly while doing the dishes.聽
Eileen Corkery | November 28-December 4
Eileen Corkery, MCAS 鈥17, is the Assistant Director of Programming at the Church in the 21st Century (C21) Center at Boston College. She organizes the Center鈥檚 faith programming efforts, notably Agape Latte, Espresso Your Faith Week, and Mass & Mingle. In addition to her work at the C21 Center, Eileen also serves as the Resident Minister of Newton Campus, providing a pastoral presence for first-year students and residential staff. She considers it an absolute privilege to be able to accompany, listen to, and care for students as they journey through Boston College.聽 In her free time, Eileen enjoys running, listening to the music of Bruce Springsteen and Taylor Swift, and walking her family鈥檚 mischievous 鈥 but friendly! 鈥 dog, Ollie.

Grace Davis | October 24-30
Grace Davis (she/her) is the Campus Minister for Retreats in 情色空间 Campus Ministry. Grace graduated from Boston College in May 2023 with Master's degrees in Social Work and Theology & Ministry and is a聽 Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) in Massachusetts.聽 Before beginning graduate studies at 情色空间, Grace lived and worked in Guayaquil, Ecuador as a Rostro de Cristo volunteer and then as a Campus Minister at Saint Joseph's University. In her free time, Grace enjoys going on long walks through Boston, trying new coffee shops, and reading.
SANet Advocates
The Sexual Assault Network (SANet) is designed to provide listening, support, and advocacy for those who have been affected by sexual misconduct and/or violence in the Boston College community.聽 The services provided by SANet Advocates include:
24-hour crisis response during the academic year, with hotline advocates on call during weeklong shifts with a mobile crisis phone and resource backpack.
Accompaniment to resources including the hospital for medical tests, evidence collection, judicial proceedings, police, community-based resources, or meetings with other support services.

Lily Chi
Lily Chi (she/her) is a second-year student in the M.A. Higher Education program and serves as a Graduate Resident Director for the CLXF community. Lily received her B.A. in Chemistry: Biochemistry and English: Environmental Literature from Colby College. Lily is very thrilled to be part of a team of caring staff as a SANet Advocate and get to serve the campus community through service, support, and education. She thrives off of getting to connect with other people from all lived experiences. Outside of work, you can find Lily watching movies, reading, knitting/crocheting, exercising, and playing with her dog.
Lili Fleming
Lili Fleming, CSOM '23 (she/her), is a Development Assistant for University Advancement, as well as a second-year student in the MBA/MSF program. She earned her B.S. in management, with a finance concentration, second major in communication and dance minor. Lili is involved with many programs within the 情色空间 community such as Kairos, Conversation Partners, Read Aloud and the Office of Graduate Student Life. During her free time, Lili loves to shop, go on a walk or run, dance, teach gymnastics, volunteer with organizations such as Urbanity Dance and Girls Future Ready Foundation, and create at the Hatchery!
Lucrecia Acosta Larrama
Lucrecia Acosta Larrama (she/ella) serves as the Transitions & Summer Operations Assistant at Boston College Residential Life. She was originally born in Uruguay, and moved to Massachusetts at the age of 4. Lucrecia attended Anna Maria College, where she received her two bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Theology, with a minor in Law & Society. During her time at her undergrad, she also graduated with a certificate in Mental Health Training through the AMCAT Support Network. After college she was also a 911 dispatcher, where she took all sorts of calls and continued to fall in love with the idea of helping people on their journey through life. In her free time, Lucrecia likes to read books (YA, Dystopia, Crime), play with her dog - Habi, going to the beach, and hang out with friends.

Paula Mathieu
Paula Mathieu is a writer and teacher. She has worked at Boston College since 2001 where she is Associate聽 Professor of English and Director of First-Year Writing. She teaches courses in writing as social action, first-year writing, mindful聽 storytelling, creative nonfiction, and rhetoric. She began her writing聽 career writing about mutual funds, then freelance journalism, then聽 community writing, then academic work. Her first published academic聽 article was about the聽language of Starbucks. She has published聽one聽 book聽and co edited three more and聽many academic essays. In the past two聽 years, she published two creative nonfiction essays rooted in aspects of her life: 鈥淪till Christmas,鈥 and 鈥淗and in Glove.鈥 She lives in Lexington with her husband, and daughter who is a high school freshman.聽 They share their home with two dogs鈥擯ercy and Marv.
Howard Thrasher| September 7 - 13
Howard Thrasher聽 (He/Him/His) is an Assistant Director for Career Education at the Career Center. Howard is originally from Austin, TX. He majored in Political Science and Communications at Auburn University and received his Masters in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. In Howard's spare time he enjoys doing amateur Graphic Design projects, practicing Krav Maga, and spending time with his partner.

Jie Yang
Jie Yang聽聽is the Assistant Director of Housing Operations for Residential Life, focusing on Summer and Transitions. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, with a concentration in Higher Education. Prior to coming to Boston College, I worked a Norwich University in Northfield, VT, serving in many different capacities including as a Deputy Title IX Coordinator, Academic Advisor, Orientation Director, and Assistant Director of Residential Education. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new restaurants/bars with friends and going to Karaoke. Fun fact, I have a TikTok famous cat named Archie.
SANet Advisors
The Sexual Assault Network (SANet) is designed to provide listening, support, and advocacy for those who have been affected by sexual misconduct and/or violence in the Boston College community.聽 The services provided by SANet Advisors include:
Accompaniment to resources including the hospital for medical tests, evidence collection, judicial proceedings, police, off-campus resources, or meetings with other support services.
Providing a presence on campus to validate and support students with connections to additional SANet resources, at campus-wide education and outreach activities (e.g. presentations and trainings, residence hall meetings, CARE week, and other awareness-raising events).
Colleen MacDonald
Colleen MacDonald is the Graduate Assistant for the SANet program and a final year graduate student at Boston College School of Social Work. Colleen is passionate about survivor advocacy and has worked in the field while living in San Diego, California since 2017. Before her work with survivors, Colleen graduated from Stonehill College with Bachelor鈥檚 degrees in Sociology and Psychology. Colleen is grateful for the opportunity to support the Boston College community with choice, resources, and support while experiencing challenging times. Colleen enjoys hiking, concerts, and spending time with her family and friends in her free time.聽
Priya Sashti
Priya (she/her/hers) is a first year masters student in the School of Social Work with a clinical focus. She graduated from Brandeis University in May 2024 with a degree in Psychology and Sociology. Priya has a strong passion for anti-violence work, especially working with young adults, and hopes to help create an environment of empowerment and healing for the Boston College community. In her free time, Priya enjoys baking, catching up on her favorite tv shows and books, and spending time with friends.
Kayla Edwards
Kayla Edwards graduated from James Madison University in 2022 with a degree in Health Sciences and Political Science. She spent the last two years as a Virginia College Advising Corps college adviser at Charlottesville High School. She is a master's student in the Higher Education and Student Affairs program. Kayla is passionate about supporting students in any way possible to get them to their goals, whether that be through equity and inclusion work or providing students with the resources to get them through college. In her free time, she loves reading, watching rom coms, going to concerts, and hanging out with friends in the city.
Sarah Hood
Sarah focuses on the formation of graduate social workers, through teaching and advising.聽 She has also taught courses in immigration and diversity. She is an active member of committees that focus on Diversity, Equity, Justice and Inclusion in the School of Social Work as well as for the larger Boston College Community. Sarah graduated from Boston College with a B.A in Human Development. After completing a year in the Jesuit Volunteer Corp. in St. Louis, Missouri, and working for the Department of Children and Families, Sarah returned to 情色空间 and received her Masters of Social Work.聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽
Sarah聽 also offers expertise in the areas of trauma. Additionally, she serves as a Mentor for 情色空间 Undergrad students, through programs such as RISE, through the Women鈥檚 Center and participates in undergraduate retreats such as Kairos and Halftime. She also mentors colleagues through the MDP Ambassador program and the University Affiliates Program with Peers and Colleagues to talk about their passions, hopes, dreams as well as their frustrations and barriers that they may have experienced.聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽
Sarah and her husband have three children, two boys who graduated from Boston College and a girl who attends UMIAMI.聽 She also has a cockapoo dog. She loves to cook Italian, Korean, French and Russian food. Sarah loves to listen to and dance to 80鈥檚 and 90鈥檚 music. She also grew up with a strong faith in both Catholicism as well as Judaism.
Ana Sophia Gomes Collavitti
Ana Sophia (she/her) is a second year master's student in the Mental Health Counseling program. She majored in Psychology and Criminology at Penn State and found her interest in helping others while volunteering at a local crisis hotline, and feels humbled to be able to continue that work as a SANet Advisor . As an immigrant, she has found her passion in counseling in working with multilingual populations. During her free time, Ana Sophia likes to read and spend time in the sun in whichever way possible (like gardening! 鈥 a newfound hobby).
Ellen Modica
Ellen Modica (she/hers) is the Campus Minister for Catechesis in the Office of Campus Ministry. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston College and is going into her 21st year working at the university. She also serves as a Resident Minister, living in 66 Commonwealth Ave, and as the Campus Ministry rep to the GLC. In her spare time, Ellen loves to read, bake, spend time on Cape Cod, and watch the Amazing Race.

Monica Mascolo
Monica is the Graduate Assistant for the Thrive mentor program. She is a master鈥檚 student in the School of Social Work. She graduated from 情色空间 in 2020 with a degree in Applied Psychology and Human Development. Monica is passionate about mental health, access to education, and social justice. She looks forward to rejoining the 情色空间 community as a grad student, supporting students in the Women鈥檚 Center, and working with Thrive. In her free time, she likes to work on puzzles, watch too much reality TV, and spend time with friends and family.聽
