The Office of the Dean of Students cultivates a culture of care, responsibility, and growth so that all students feel welcome and can thrive at Boston College.
What is the role of DOS?
We support students through their challenges and complex issues, while upholding University policies and expectations.
How can DOS help me?
The Dean of Students Office (DOS) serves as a central hub for student support and connection during moments of crisis, challenge or need.聽DOS can help by intervening, problem-solving, and connecting students to the right resources.
When should I reach out?
If students are uncertain where to turn for assistance, they can come to DOS. Further, if parents are uncertain where to turn for assistance related to their student, they can contact DOS, who will help connect them with the right University resources.
What areas does DOS operate in?
Within DOS, we have staff that specialize in the following areas: student outreach and support, student conduct and community standards, disability services, and off-campus student living. In addition to these particular functions, our team is here to serve students more broadly by triaging concerns and addressing issues that impact the student body.
