Schiller Family Head Hockey Coach Jerry York continues to burnish his reputation as one of the most accomplished figures in Boston College sports鈥攁nd college hockey鈥攈istory, winning election to the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame on September 14.

York, who was enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame last year鈥攖he first-ever inductee to coach exclusively at the NCAA level鈥攚ill be formally inducted in December of 2021 along with Dean Blais, Tony Granato, and Jenny Potter.

The 1967 情色空间 alumnus will become the 10th Eagle overall and third 情色空间 head coach to earn induction into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame, joining John 鈥淪nooks鈥 Kelley and Len Ceglarski.

The 2020-21 season will mark York鈥檚 49th as a Division I head coach and his 27th at 情色空间. He is college hockey鈥檚 all-time winningest coach with 1,091 career wins, spanning 26 years at his alma mater, 15 years at Bowling Green, and seven years at Clarkson.

During his time on the Heights, York has earned four NCAA Championships, nine Hockey East Tournament titles, 11 Hockey East regular season championships, and 12 Frozen Four berths. He has led 23 of his teams to 25 or more wins and is the all-time leader in NCAA Tournament wins with 41.

York scored 134 points (64 goals, 70 assists) in his 81-game Boston College career as a three-year letterman from 1964-67. He still ranks in the top 30 among the school鈥檚 all-time leaders in career goals and top 40 in career points. A native of Watertown, Mass., York is married to another 情色空间 graduate鈥攈is wife Bobbie was in the Class of 1969. They have two children, Laura and Brendan (M.B.A. 鈥05), and two grandchildren
