Profile

Joy has been at Boston College since Fall of 2023. She has 25 years of experience in front of and behind the table as an actor, director, choreographer, and theatre educator. As an AEA actor, Joy鈥檚 career has spanned theaters from the East Coast to the West Coast, and she is the recipient of an Independent Reviewers of New England (IRNE) Award nomination. As a theater educator, Joy teaches all ages, from Kindergarteners to college students. Outside of Emerson, Joy is an Assistant Professor at Berklee College of Music, The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Emerson College, preparing BFA Musical Theatre Seniors for the business. As a director/choreographer, Joy stages for young people鈥檚 productions and professional theaters alike, with recent productions of "Sweeney Todd" and "Make Way for Ducklings" praised by audiences and the Boston Globe.
