Biography
Alex Puente specializes in Asian and Asian American literature, particularly in Philippine literature in English and Filipino American literature.聽 His other interests include US multi-ethnic literature, late 19th century American literature, postcolonialism, creative nonfiction, and graphic narratives.
聽Alex teaches the First-Year Writing Seminar and Literature聽Core (regular and ELL sections); Courage to Know; American Literary History II聽(1865-1910); American Literary History III (1914-2000); The Graphic Novel and聽Marginality; and Asian American Literature:聽Immigration, Exclusion, and Engagement.
